| A nanny is a spare parent, much more than a babysitter. At Nanny In a Pinch, our nannies are all CPR and First Aide Certified, and have at least 5 years experience in childcare and most come to you with a 4 year degree in childhood education or higher. |

A nanny's job consists of all aspects related to the care of the children. This may include, the children's laundry, bathing, transportation, maintaining the children's areas, and stimulating them through educational activities. |

What disciplinary actions are appropriate? |

Nannies and parents should always discuss the “Discipline Issue” during the job interview, even if the child is currently an infant. The parents need to articulate to the nanny the discipline method they want, and work with them on some guidelines on the actions that would warrant discipline of the child by the nanny. The most successful nanny/parent relationships include fundamental agreement on the child rearing methods and philosophies. However, Nanny in a Pinch does not participate or recommend any type of corporal punishment. |
